Infosys Among Shortlisted Bidders for IN-SPACe’s ₹1,500 Cr EO Satellite Constellation Project

In a significant development, Infosys has been shortlisted as one of the six bidders to build and launch a constellation of earth observation (EO) satellites for the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe). The project, valued at ₹1,500 crore, aims to strengthen India’s space infrastructure and enhance its earth observation capabilities.

Key Objectives:
– Develop and launch a constellation of EO satellites to enhance India’s earth observation capabilities
– Provide high-resolution imagery and data for various applications, including agriculture, disaster management, and environmental monitoring
– Strengthen India’s space infrastructure and promote private sector participation in the space industry

What’s Next?
The shortlisted bidders, including Infosys, will now submit their detailed proposals, which will be evaluated by IN-SPACe. The selected bidder will be responsible for designing, building, and launching the EO satellite constellation, marking a significant milestone in India’s space journey.
