The teaser for the forthcoming film Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh is here. On Monday, the creators released a teaser showcasing Akshay Kumar in the pivotal role. The film, directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, explores the aftermath of the devastating Jallianwala Bagh massacre, which occurred in April 1919.
The one-minute, thirty-nine-second teaser defies conventional conventions with an extraordinary 30-second opening—no images, logo, or title. Instead, it depends exclusively on sound to transport viewers into the pandemonium and horror of the killing.
The video opens with horrific pleas from victims and mourning relatives, echoing lines like “Please stop, for God’s sake,” “Shoot them,” and “The gates are locked.” The preview also includes a terrifying disclaimer: “These visuals are too horrific to display.”
Akshay Kumar plays Sir C Sankaran Nair, a brave barrister who confronted the British Empire in the aftermath of the national tragedy. A dramatic narration adds weight to the teaser, declaring, “Don’t forget that you’re still a slave to the British empire.”

Kesari Chapter 2, based on the book ‘The Case That Shook The Empire’ by Pushpa Palat and Raghu Palat, establishes a new standard for Indian film with its daring narrative technique.
Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films, and Leo Media Collective produced the film, which also stars R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday. Kesari Chapter 2 opens in theaters on April 18, 2025.
