NCC Shares Drop After Q3 Results: Stock Ends Lower on BSE

Shares of NCC Ltd fell after the company’s NCC Shares Q3 FY25 results, closing at Rs.237.60, down Rs.2.40 (1.00%) on the BSE. The stock has witnessed a decline over the past month, dropping 22.95%, while its one-week performance is also down by Rs.8.62%.

Despite reporting a revenue of Rs.4,670.98 crore and a net profit of Rs.185.4 crore, investors reacted negatively to the earnings report, leading to the share price decline.

Shares of infrastructure provider NCC Ltd. plummeted up to 13% on Friday, February 7, after the business released its December quarter results after market close on Thursday.

Rekha Jhunjhunwala’s portfolio stock had a 12.5% year-on-year (YoY) fall in net profit to ₹193.2 crore for the third quarter ending December 31, 2024.

In the preceding fiscal quarter, NCC Ltd reported a net profit of ₹220.7 crore, according to a regulatory filing. The company’s income from operations climbed 1.6% to ₹5,344.5 crore compared to ₹5,260 crore in the previous fiscal year.

In the third quarter of this fiscal, EBITDA decreased by 16.6% to ₹420.9 crore from ₹504.4 crore in the same time last year.

The EBITDA margin was 7.9% in the reporting quarter, down from 9.6% in the same time last fiscal year. EBITDA is earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization. The firm recorded a basic and diluted EPS of ₹3.08 for the third quarter, compared to ₹3.51 in the same period last year.

The firm recorded a turnover of ₹16,165.55 crore (including other income) for the current nine months, compared to ₹14,440.86 crore in the same period last year.

The firm recorded EBIDTA of ₹1,361.76 crore and net profit attributable to shareholders of ₹566.06 crore for the nine months ended December 31, 2024, compared to ₹1,218.36 crore and ₹471.53 crore reported in the same period the previous year.

The firm recorded a Basic and Diluted EPS of ₹9.02 for the nine-month period, compared to ₹7.51 in the same time last year. The results were released after the market had closed. NCC Ltd’s shares closed at ₹237.60, down ₹2.40 or 1.00% on the BSE.
