From the beginning of June 23, various new credit card rules will be implemented by the issuers of credit card related to their revised reward programs and fee structures. The customers should be aware of the latest changes and not forget to follow the latest guidelines issued by the concerned authority.
SBI Card
From June onwards, India’s premier credit card issuer – SBI Card will not offer reward points on government- related transactions furthermore for certain credit cards. Definitely a wide range of audience will be affected by it. It will also have a huge impact on various wide range of SBI credit cards including AURUM, SBI Card Elite, SBI Card Elite Advantage and many more.
Swiggy HDFC Bank Credit Card
One of HDFC’s popular credit cards, The Swiggy HDFC Bank Credit Card has now a remarkable cashback program as per various news sources. As per the latest source, the Swiggy HDFC Bank Credit Card will launch a new cashback structure by June 21st. Interestingly, it is occurring at that time when many of the card issuers are reducing the facilities associated with the credit cards.
The cashback which you have earned will be shown on the credit card account by June 21st. It will no longer be shown on the Swiggy app as Swiggy Money. The statement balance will be less for the upcoming month as an outcome of the cashback. Thus, it offers greater convenience to the cardholders.
Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card
The consumers of the Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card will get a change in their rewards program from June onwards. The rent payment made through the credit cards will not make reward points thus it will mark a shift from the established structure.
However, the card will offer a discount of 1% on fuel surcharge payments such that there are no any restrictions on rewards or expiry dates. It should be noted to the users that they will not be able to get the reward points on Equated Monthly Instalment (EMI) transactions and gold purchases.
Bank of Baroda One co-branded Credit Card
Bank of Baroda is planning to enforce the revised charges for its One co-branded credit card from June 23rd. The changes will include several adjustments to the interest rates on unpaid dues, over-limit fees and late payment charges. It also has increased the interest rate and late payment fees on its BOBCARD One co-branded Credit Card. These are effective from June 26th as per the sources.
