Orient Cables, a manufacturer of passive networking equipment and networking cables with its headquarters in Gurugram, has decided to offer its Rs 552-crore IPO for public subscription on September 25.
Orient Cables IPO Set for September 25 Launch With ₹552 Crore Issue
A new issue of equity shares valued at Rs 320 crore is part of the initial public offering (IPO), and promoters will sell shares valued at Rs 232 crore through an offer-for-sale (OFS).
On September 22, the corporation will make a separate announcement regarding the price band details.
Public bidding for the offer will continue until September 29, with the anchor book opening for one day on September 24.
Orient Cables is anticipated to make its market debut on October 5 after completing the IPO share allocation by September 30.
Qualified institutional buyers will receive half of the offer; non-institutional investors would receive 15% of the offer, and retail investors will receive the remaining 35%.
The business submitted a draft red herring prospectus to SEBI in July 2025, and the capital markets regulator approved it in December of the same year.
Promoted by the Nagpal family from Delhi, Orient Cables has two manufacturing facilities in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, and offers wire and cable harness assemblies, networking cables, speciality power cables, and optical fibre cables. The company serves a number of industries, including broadband, telecom, data centers, renewable energy, smart building automation/security, FMEG, and automotive, with an installed cable capacity of 8.95 lakh km.
The company plans to purchase machinery and equipment and carry out civil improvements at its production plants with Rs 91.5 crore of the proceeds from the new issue.
Additionally, out of the total outstanding borrowings of Rs 258.4 crore, Rs 155.5 crore will be used for debt repayment. The remaining money will be put aside for general business needs.
Due in part to weak operating margins, the company’s profit for the year ended March 2026 was Rs 53.6 crore, up 0.5 percent from Rs 53.3 crore the year before.
During the same period, revenue increased by 42% to Rs 1,171.6 crore from Rs 825 crore. While the EBITDA margin decreased to 8.22 percent from 10.16 percent, EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation) increased 15 percent to Rs 96.4 crore from Rs 83.8 crore.
For the most recent quarter that concluded in June 2026, revenue was Rs 489.1 crore and profit was Rs 32.7 crore.
The merchant bankers overseeing the Orient Cables IPO are IIFL Capital Services and JM Financial.
Along with Varmora Granito, Elevate Campuses, ArMee Infotech, Adroit Industries, Swastika Infra, A-One Steels India, Moneyview, and Acevector, the parent company of Snapdeal, this would be the seventh business to launch an IPO this week.
