Kanwal was instrumental in establishing initiatives like the Anti-Fake News War Room (AFWA) and the Open Source Intelligence Desk (OSINT), aimed at combating misinformation. His efforts have been recognized with numerous accolades throughout his career.
Speculation is rife that Kanwal may join NDTV in a senior capacity, following a trend of prominent journalists transitioning to the network after its acquisition by the Adani Group. However, official confirmation of his next move is awaited.
