In a shocking turn of events, former Bangladesh cricket captain Tamim Iqbal has been hospitalized after suffering a massive heart attack during a Dhaka Premier Division match on Monday, March 24, 2025. The 36-year-old batsman was rushed to the Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Memorial KPJ Specialised Hospital in Dhaka after complaining of severe chest pain.

According to Dr. Debashish Chowdhury, the chief physician of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, Tamim underwent initial checks at a local hospital, where mild heart issues were suspected. However, his condition worsened, and he experienced severe chest pain, confirming a massive heart attack.
