Tata Motors Set To Build A Rs.9,000 Crore Manufacturing Unit In Tamil Nadu

Tata Motors has inked a pact on Wednesday, March 14, 2024, with the southern state of Tamil Nadu to build a Rs.9,000 crore vehicle manufacturing unit in the state, in the next five years.
As per the insider, Tata Motors mentioned that this move will help generate employment opportunities in the state, with 5000 direct opportunities will be created in the coming years.
This is the second such investment in the vehicle manufacturing sector in the state, during the last two months. After the Vietnamese electric car manufacturer VinFast commenced its Indian manufacturing unit in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.
For which the Vietnamese EV manufacturers plan to invest Rs.4,000 crore in the next five years. Which anticipated to create 3,000 to 3,500 employment opportunities in the state in the upcoming years.
To announce the MoU signed between the Tamil Nadu Government and Tata Motors, Chief Minister M.K Stalin posted on social media platform X.
