The founding partner, Sharad Tewari, is a retired IRS and has worked closely on the reforms and regulations of tax laws of the country. He was part of the government when GST was being conceptualized. Now working on the other side, he makes this practice area to be the firm’s strong point. In the years 2017 and 2018, he helped the firm win close to 30 appeals in CESTAT, besides an equal number of first Appeals. The firm has established itself as a one stop shop for all the Tax related matters.

TLP with its head office in Noida has their associate offices situated in Delhi, Noida, Lucknow, Allahabad, Ghaziabad and Kanpur. Plans for Growth
TLPs short term plan is to grow Pan-India. Mr. Tewari believes that quality of the firm’s work delivered has itself been doing a lot of promotion for the firm and is getting good amount of work from cities other than Delhi-NCR as well. Initial plan is to keep moving at this speed without compromising on the quality of work. Next aimis to slowly pick up speed in expanding vertically and horizontally, i.e., increasing the practice areas vis-à-vis its workforce as well as its presence in top cities of India. “This is the first step towards realizing our goal of establishing offices in Mumbai and Bangalore etc. Plans are in place for expanding presence in Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities as well.” Says Mr. Tewari.
After this, firm will get ready for the long term plan. Once they are able to gauge progress on short term plan, they will make a move on the global front. “My time in the USA has given me a lot of exposure about intricacies of their work culture and their law, so it will help us in building a blueprint for our move”, says Mr. Tewari.
For a considerable amount of time, firm was working out of a very small space. With steady increase in the work and staff, they moved into a bigger space last year. For them, this was a mark of progression which motivated them even more to keep pushing to greater heights.

a) SHARAD TEWARI- Founding Partner
To bring experience to Tax N Legal Partner in the field of taxation and civil laws, Mr. Sharad Tewari (B.Sc., L.L.B) with about thirty five years of experience in the field of law has joined as Founding Partner of the LLP. Besides his experience in law practice at Lucknow, Mr. Sharad Tewari is an emeritus Assistant Commissioner of Customs, Central Excise & Service tax having experience from grass root level to highest echelons of litigation and management of taxation matters. He took voluntary retirement after many years of service with the department to follow his one and only passion in life, which is Law.
b) SIDDHARTH TEWARI- Managing Partner
Managing Partner, Mr. Siddharth Tewari (B.A., L.L.B., L.L.M. (U.S.A.), is a Symbiosis Law School graduate and a post graduate from George Washington University, Washington D.C., U.S.A. He is currently enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi. He is also admitted to practice in the state of New York, U.S.A. His areas of practice are Taxation, Competition law, Company law, Intellectual Property law, Constitutional law and the Arbitration amongst others. He has represented clients in tax matters, writ petition, consumer cases, recovery suits, arbitration matters, negotiable instrument cases, sexual harassment at workplace related matters and has credible experience on the same. He is committed to make the firm a full-service client oriented legal community. It is because of his enterprising approach that the firm enjoys a strong network of lawyers in India and abroad.
c) SAUMYA TEWARI- CEO
CEO of the firm, Ms. Saumya Tewari, holds post-graduate degrees in English Literature, Mass Communication (Specialization-Corporate Communication) and a post graduate diploma in Business Management (Specialization-Marketing and Finance) besides diploma in digital marketing. She comes to the firm with a vision of running a tight ship. She makes sure that quality work is delivered on time and is responsible for functioning of the firm while the legal eagles can concentrate entirely on clients’ matters.
