By education, Mr. Siddhant, a graduate in Civil Engineering from U.P. Tech. University, Lucknow, initially worked with a leading global engineering, management and development consulting organization Mott Macdonald at Delhi & Dubai, where he learned a lot about the operational management system of the Infrastructure engineering and construction domains.
The Company, headquartered in New Delhi, started its journey in the month of June in the year 2015.
Today the company is following a strict sense of discipline and streamlining the field operations in India. It has successfully been able to provide services enabling property, asset owners and businesses across industries to maintain, operate and improve their assets with ease.
Entrepreneurial Journey
“I completed my Ignite Fellowship Program from The Stanford Graduate School of Business. The unique approach to driving innovation and multi-faceted exposure fast-forwarded the process of my entrepreneurial journey” added Mr. Siddhant.
With the completion of schooling from TheScindia School, Gwalior, one of the most prominent schools of India, he as an extroverted doer did a lot of extra and co-curricular activities along with training in sports, theatre and public speaking. He displayed his leadership skills in round square conferences and as the NCC (National Cadet Corps) leader tracking on peaks on expeditions which nurtured credible multidimensional skills aiding multiple accolades at national and international level.
Mr.Siddhant states, “I was actively engaged in business activities from college days itself, I and couple of my friends did the branding projects at college only. I was actively involved in fundraising and event management of a NGO as well”.
Starting the notch from direct B2C (Business to consumers) through solutions aimed at individual property management the company expanded to B2B (Business to Business) field force management, multiple property management and integrated facility management solutions in the northern states and a few projects on a pan India basis.
The company has gained experience in recent years by successfully dealing with a few national level projects. The company today has over 30 top notch corporate clients across different industry verticals ranging from OEM’s or Manufacturers like Philips or Havells, Retailers like Decathlon, Toyota, Ford and H&M, to Industries and Factories, Corporations and Offices, Institutions like the Scindia school and Sanskriti University, Government Bodies like EESL, Sansad Bhavan, Delhi Police and DMRC works, eTailers like Pepperfry and Amazon, International Property Consultants like JLL, Real Estate Developers and RWA’s alike and Hospitality industry partners like NestAway, , CoHo, Oyo, Placioand many more.
The company has formed an innovative solution to manage physical inventory by forming a scale able and easy to use Annual Maintenance Contract that aids the property and asset owners to control various aspects of property upkeep and operations through a single window approach encompassing multiple disciplines as may be required. Their in-house activities for developing field force solutions to largely reduce the burden on client ended administration, general operations and reduce risk by automating service processes to encompass day-day tasks as well; hence they do not see themselves as a technology company but they do definitely use technology as an enabler for managed services.
The company does not consider modern day service aggregators as their direct competitors, in fact Siddhant believes them to have a natural synergy as they are essentially the fulfillers of requests placed through multiple platforms and as such can also vastly aid the marketplace’s woes in labor and field force management with their industry leading systems and processes.
Mr.Siddhant added, “I don’t think I was a born Entrepreneur. Being sharp-eyed about the problems around me has always been a driver to come up with solutions for the people around me. Definitely instincts of an entrepreneur were always there within me. I sincerely worked on them. I built the required skill-sets. I was versatile in solving the problems for any domain. I wanted to be my own man and hence ended up running the company in the early days through savings off my first job and the company remained bootstrapped for a long time”
He believes an idea alone does not work, it takes much more than just a thought. Innovation is driven by concept but it’s necessary to comprehend the markets needs as well. He likes to study the customer, understand the problem and develop solutions accordingly. The idea in its individual capacity doesn’t work, it needs right kind of thought driven implementation as well.
Recent developments “A majority of our clientele today are businesses, we are currently focusing on upgrading our solutions to be industry specific. We have been able to deploy solutions across multiple industries ranging from Home and Property Owners, Corporate Offices, Large OEM’s or Manufacturers, Hospitality Industry, Hospitals, Institutions, Developers, Property Consultants and CGHS / RWA’s or Apartment Complexes. We instill confidence whilst not providing traditional manpower contracts, instead we look to drive efficient processes.” Added Mr. Siddhant
In initial years and even today, the company has focused and constantly updated their services and products towards the urban dweller. Although the people & market are not very well prepared for organized home services in Delhi as heavy promotional campaigns do not suit home bread and bootstrapped businesses However, there are substantial number customers looking for good quality, assured and verified services even Annual maintenance services contracts for homes; which has been the company’s original proposition. The company currently uses the latest technology in imparting B2C services and in controlling the service quality and providing the first of a kind Home and Property Management Platform that goes beyond just requesting a service.
The company, a self funded venture now looks to use its own revenues to scale on the back of business solutions led products to multiple cities and states. MaintenanceHouse and HFM are now a robust group of service companies focusing on multiple facets of the industry from traditional facility management and manpower outsourcing to hybrid property management modules to easy use annual maintenance contracts to project management consulting and now in skill development and integrated facilities management as well.
The group is currently focusing on its business solutions segment which has allowed them to focus on multiple state wide solutions which they will focus on strengthening in the North, Central and Western states specially to focus on last mile delivery.
Government works is key to the development of the nation as a whole and the group aims to engage more and more with government bodies and authorities to improve the state of public infrastructure and buildings.
The groups are now partnering with funds and developers across the country to deliver multi faced solutions to multiple markets and even working on PPP models with city development authorities.
