Samsung formally announced the release date of One UI 7, their operating system (OS) based on Android 15, on Tuesday. According to the business, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be available starting on April 7. The upgrade, which debuted with the Galaxy S25 series in January, features revised One UI widgets, a new notification system called Now Bar, and visual improvements with more customization choices. New features driven by the Galaxy AI suite are also included.

Release Date for One UI 7 Announced

In a press article, Samsung revealed the specifics of the One UI 7 rollout for Galaxy smartphones. Beginning on April 7, users of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 will begin to receive the update.

In the upcoming weeks, it will also be expanded to cover additional devices. Although the precise release date has not yet been disclosed, the South Korean technological conglomerate claims that the Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S10 series, and Galaxy Tab S9 series will all be eligible to receive the stable One UI 7 update.

Now Bar, a rectangular pill-shaped bar that shows up at the bottom of the screen with several cards, is a feature of One UI 7. On the lock screen, it provides consumers with a wealth of data and insights. Samsung has also added a number of new features to its Galaxy AI. AI Select is one feature that lets the user pick a certain area of the screen. Text summarization and formatting are made possible by tools like Writing Assist and Drawing Assist, which also generate graphics from text-based prompts or preliminary sketches, respectively.

Audio Eraser, which the business says can isolate sound categories and eliminate undesirable noise in videos, is also included in the update. Users might benefit from a more thorough interaction with Google’s AI chatbot, Gemini, which offers prompt answers to questions. In Settings, it also offers natural language search.
