Tahira Kashyap, Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife and writer/director, has been diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time.
Tahira Kashyap “ironically” says she has breast cancer again on World Health Day: “Round 2 For Me”
She was previously diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018. Tahira approached round two with a hopeful attitude, writing on social media that she’still got this’.
Tahira posted on Instagram, “Seven-year itch or the power of regular screening- it’s a perspective. I’d like to go with the latter and recommend it to everyone who needs to get regular mammograms.” Round two for me…”I still have this.”

She also said in the caption, “When life throws you lemons, make lemonade.” When life gets overly generous and tosses them back at you, you quietly squeeze them into your favorite kala khatta drink and sip it with all good intentions. Because, one, it’s a better drink, and two, you know you’ll give it your all again. Today, ironically or not, is World Health Day. Let us do everything we can to take care of ourselves, with appreciation throughout.”
