The trailer of 2025’s biggest film has dropped—and it brought along a truckload of complaints too.
Trailers like this release every other day. So what’s different about this one?
Well, I did spot something that makes one thing certain: this won’t blow up the box office—it’ll beg for mercy instead.
But still, get ready. The biggest box office opening of 2025 is loading, boss.
The trailer is 150 seconds long, and Hrithik Roshan’s looks have been sold like candy—here, take this lollipop and don’t say anything bad.
Meanwhile, focus has been given to Jr. NTR’s painful backstory. His look isn’t anything special—he seems the same in every scene.
So overall, War 2’s trailer feels like: “Dug up a mountain, found a mouse… or maybe an elephant?”
Don’t worry, I’ll explain with proof.
Like it or not, the War 2 trailer felt less like a movie trailer and more like a Mountain Dew ad.
Not necessarily a bad thing—but it’s just action, action, and more action.
Watching at home, the action scenes won’t hit. But in theatres? Absolutely. Those scenes will be paisa vasool.
But the emotion… that “feel” we had watching War 1, especially the bond with Tiger—that’s missing in this trailer.
The trailer tries to bring emotion with intense background music and “India First” slogans, but it all feels plastic—fake.
War 2 Trailer Review: Hrithik vs NTR Face-Off Steals the Show | Business Connect Magazine
For me, the two best scenes in the trailer:
Hrithik’s short fight scene — it’ll blow the roof off when he enters in theatres. Stadium vibes!
Jr. NTR locking eyes with Hrithik — that stare is a slap to all those who called him weak in the teaser.
Speaking of slaps—this trailer is loaded with dialogues, and that’s something I’m totally against. Why?
Because one clever mind will piece together the whole story—and guess what, that’s exactly what’s happened.
No matter how much you try to act like both are villains, everyone knows this is going to end like RRR — fight, fight, forgive, brotherhood, love, peace.
Be honest—wasn’t way too much revealed in this trailer?
Especially Kiara Advani’s character—they literally gave it all away! No surprise factor.
She could’ve been used as a secret weapon, something mysterious till August 14.
But once again, Bollywood proves it doesn’t know how to use heroines.
And another thing Hindi cinema struggles with? Decent visual effects.
They’ve got the ideas, the money, even killer scenes—but the final quality feels childish. Why, Bollywood, why?
Now let’s talk heroes.
The comparison is real. And no shame in admitting — from this trailer, Hrithik Roshan is the main attraction of War 2.
The way he’s been presented—with an evil edge, villain vibes—he’s the soul of this trailer.
Meanwhile, the biggest injustice to Jr. NTR is that his look hasn’t changed at all.
He looks the same as he does in every film. They literally copy-pasted him into this one.
Look what they did with John Abraham—his villain look in Pathaan gave Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback movie serious competition.
But here, NTR’s presence, seen only in one scene, was completely underutilized by Ayan Mukerji.
Had there been a true face-off? Fireworks.
Now let’s talk about the ONE thing that might make War 2 leap ahead and possibly become the highest-earning film in the Spy Universe —
That special face… Colonel Luthra.
Including him in the trailer was a brilliant strategy—he’s the bridge between War 1 and War 2,
The one who connects Jim to Kabir, who’s already been seen in Pathaan.
It’s possible that the Spy Universe angle is being intentionally hidden by YRF.
Because once you watch the movie after this generic trailer and find a completely different story inside,
you’ll be shook — like, jaw-drop levels of shook.
Because trust me, Jr. NTR is not here just to deliver lines.
He’s the Thanos of the Spy Universe, boss.
In short:
The trailer is stylish,
The action is solid,
Kiara looks fierce,
Hrithik’s evil look is volcanic,
NTR’s stare silences the haters.
But the biggest complaint? Even after the trailer, War 2 is still being sold only on the star power of its two male leads.
The film itself might turn out amazing.
But when it comes to the trailer, my question remains — what’s new?
If you’ve got the answer, drop it in the comments.
Otherwise, let’s wait for August 2.
Who knows—maybe War 2 will teach Bollywood how to do a proper big film introduction.
Or maybe… it’ll get eaten alive.
You tell me. Write it below.
