THE EXPANSION STORY
Care24 was founded in 2014, by two IIT alumni Vipin Pathak (CO-founder & CEO) and Garima Tripathi (CO-Founder & COO), with a motivation to provide caregiving solutions across Mumbai. With this focus, the duo started, with simples solutions like blood pressure check or fetching injection and more. Addressing these basic needs, eventually broadened their area of specialization. They introduced caregiving solutions through qualified medical professionals for a variety of patient care needs.
Few of the most favoured solutions include Medical Nursing, Physiotherapy, Attendants, ICU & Step down at home. With time and adept solutions, Care24 raised its bar into a preferable brand for patients as well as caregivers. Every caregiver is, trained on user-friendly technology and soft-skills to ensure delightful care at home. Caregivers further enjoy wholesome remunerations and abundant work opportunities.
AN EDGE OVER THE PEERS
Trust and Quality are the two pillars that uphold Care24’s foundation. Be it hiring caregivers, methodologies or technology – Care24 has aced all of them. 70% of their caregivers come from referral programs, that fosters trust towards them. On the other hand, the majority of patients are referred to by preceding clients. The relation helps in clearing the ambiguities on the patient’s end, enabling Care24 to provide real-time resolution through technology and trained staff.
A broad-research on patient care further gives Care24 an edge over peers. An average number of patients recover faster at home due to better comfort, which makes home health-care more preferable. Care24 ventures on technology and administration, to maintain their coveted position and ensure streamlined service. It has an adroit tech-team, and they have developed a user-friendly app for real-time tracking of service. The app includes records of patient and caregivers and further tracks patients’ improvement rate, feedback, and resolutions against querries. Customer can further make payments against services via the app.“Our app truly makes the processes easy for both customers and caregivers”, acknowledges Garima. The efficient use of technology helps in building trust with patients and further paves the way for potential clients.
ALLEVIATING THE COVID CHALLENGES
With the rising cases of COVID, providing caregiving solutions at home was a novel challenge. Physical interaction was limited to a level, but that didn’t stop Care 24. With a strong will to move forward, it trained its caregivers with proper tools and methods to adapt to the conditions. “We want our customers to be safe with the caregivers who stay with them”, acknowledges Vipin. To ensure the safety of both caregivers and patients, caregivers’ exposure to the outside world was limited.
Care24 also invested in CSR activities during the pandemic. During the lockdown, a Substantial amount of migrants weren’t able to accommodate food. Care 24 helped them by providing food.
A JOURNEY PAVED WITH AWARDS AND PROSPERITY
In the last 6 years, Care24 has been the recipient of several milestones and awards. The Company enjoys a good online recognition put by clients across cities. Care24 has been conferred, with ‘Sulekha business Awards’, for highly rated Home-Healthcare. Garima on her end has won the ‘Health, Wellness & Healthtech Women Entrepreneurs Award’. With its wide array of tailored solutions, Care24 has accomplished 13,00,000+ patient visits in Mumbai and Delhi-NCR and enjoys 1000+ visits per day.
With such an exemplary stint, Care24 is setting a goal to thrive in metros like Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Pune. There is an intense rise in chronic and acute cardiovascular diseases in these cities, especially among the aged group, further increasing its need. Care24 is also aiming to partner with healthcare institutions; this will reduce the patient’s stay in hospitals, while the capacity for critical patients will improve evidently.
Care24 also foresees to thrive in training, it aims to train 10,000 healthcare professionals for, elderly care and other customized treatments like cancer care and neurological care in alliance with specialized agencies such as NSDC, AIIMS, Tata Memorial, and others. “We know that up-skilling and training is the only way to create the healthcare industry’s best talent pool”, says Garima. With its largely connected business pipeline, Care24 aims to serve the changing dimensions of the industry with more tailored solutions.
