Students who fail one or two topics in their CBSE board examinations can retake the compartment test to improve their chances of passing. They are given up to three attempts.
- First try in July/August of the same year.
- Second attempt: March/April of the following year.
- Third attempt: July/August of the following year.
If a student fails all three tries, they must retake all subjects in the next academic year.
