The pandemic has presented opportunities for Ericson to check the force majeure status of the company. Most of the staff have dedicated themselves to remain available over all types of online platforms such as through phones and emails, and have kept providing service to the company’s policy holders round the clock, as they are well aware of the apprehension for the future and confusion of the present about health. People were not as serious about health insurance before this pandemic. This pandemic has created lots of awareness & people have started thinking as well as searching for efficient and effective service providers. This is resulting in better outcomes as well as growth for them and their customers.

Overall, the COVID-19 pandemic is a crucial event in the Indian history. The evident trails from the rest of the world were helpful for the management team to be prepared with response measures at the right time to tackle the COVID-19 outbreak and its future effects over business.

The pandemic has proved to be a new boom in the health insurance industry due to increased awareness over health assurance, and there has been a significant rise in health policy seekers.

Public-private relationships with channel partners like insurance brokers, insurance companies and corporates at various levels were found to have an effective outcome. This collaboration enabled Ericson to sustain its business counts rolling up during the lockdown period. Parallel to this, the entire team of Ericson TPA also took a step ahead with uninterrupted cashless support 24X7 and Claims Process with Payment Process for hospitals and policy holders. Altogether, despite it being a dreadful event, it boosted the morale of their business partners and gave them the confidence to count upon Ericson and resulted in better business prospects during and post the peak of the pandemic.

Ericson has plans to achieve serious goals in the future, for instance, coming up further with robust AI & OCR based automated claim processing calculation software which shall require minimal manual interventions at basic level. They plan to involve the existing manpower in more innovative and wide spread coverages for best of the services. The company is looking forward to setting up high goals and forming a huge team with specialists & panelists, with the best employee benefits policy for the ETPA employees.
