Our editorial team had an interesting and joyful session with one of the amazing personalities, Mr. Maruthi Naik. The Founder and Director of Flicha Interiors, Mr. Maruthi, shared numerous lesser-known facts about the company and also shared his overall entrepreneurial journey so far with us. His charismatic persona and great leadership approach highly inspired us and made us feature him in our exclusive edition, ‘Entrepreneur of the Year 2022’. Giving a detailed introduction of himself, Mr. Maruthi quips, “I am a problem solver and have a skill set for solving problems. And that’s one of the major reasons of me turning into an Entrepreneur. At the initial stages of my career, I chose Interior Design at first, but the biggest problem in the market was not Interior Design but Home Renovation. So we built an end-to-end Home Renovation firm in Bangalore itself.
” He further asserts, “At Flicha, we listen to the client’s requirements first then we come up with a solution that adds value to their ideas and fulfill their expectations. Undoubtedly, Flicha is a one-stop solution for end-to-end home renovation that has every renovation services under one-roof. So the client need not run behind different vendors.”
Explaining to us the major qualities of a successful leader, Mr. Maruthi says that a leader should be perseverant and should have a risk-taking ability and courage. “I have adopted these qualities for leading my business and the team towards higher growth,” says Mr. Maruthi.
ORGANIZATION BASED ON PROMISES
The team of Flicha Interiors works with a vision to make the Home Renovation Industry an organized and well-established sector from an unorganized one. Also, they drive with a vision to build an infrastructure with the best talent and strategies such as Ford’s Assembly Line System so the end product gets organized. The company is driven by the goal of maintaining quality and time management for all its projects.
“The Prospects are not looking for Interior Design alone. They are looking for a Renovation Expert, so they get the freedom to design according to their wishes. From an Interior Design firm, we became a full-fledged Home Renovation firm. Technology plays a pivotal role from Designing to Execution.
The available softwares for designing like 3DS Max, Google Sketchup, Vray and Autocad help our designers to create wonderful designs to show the preview. Softwares exclusively used for marketing purpose like Invideo, Canva is immense support for Designing our Digital Space. In Execution, the modern tools we use for renovation and the factory set up for machine made interiors and tools for handcraft interiors to deliver customized designs,”- Mr. Maruthi Naik.

Mr. Naik affirms, “We will prepare ourselves better for the rainy days, that’s our way for standing strong in tough times. We take advantage of the time we have to think of innovation solutions for growth. The trajectory for 2021 was very challenging because we were just out of first lockdown and spent entire 2 months in the second lockdown.
Business was stormy but not our core principles. This helped us bounce back to good times with ease.” He further explains some major elements that help his company above the competition, one of them is R&D. He says, “R & D is very important in every field. The world is changing every second. We need to research new materials, tools, and alternative solutions for the processes in Renovation Industry to stay updated and deliver better and faster.”

Sharing with us his real and unfiltered side, Mr. Naik says, “Journey of an entrepreneur is always like walking to a battlefield every day. There are many instances of near-death scenarios, where it tests you to the core. I would like to quote this Line from Hard things about Hard Things by Ben Horowitz that inspires me to continue this entrepreneurship.
‘The Most Important Decisions Test Your Courage more than Your Intelligence’.” He adds, “I strongly believe that reading empowers every entrepreneur. The best books I read are: Rich Dad Poor Dad, Letters from a Father to his Daughter – Jawaharlal Nehru’s Letters to Indira Gandhi, E-Myth, My Experiments with Truth, Asura by AnandNeelakantan, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck by Mark Manson and more.”
