RUBY HALL CLINIC

HEALING MILLIONS OF PEOPLE AROUND WITH EMPATHY AND CARE

Treatment and eradication of a multitude of illnesses from human lives is such a noble cause. People across the globe treat doctors as next to God, because they save millions of lives, gifting patients a new phase of life. Providing compassionate care to everyone, who walks through its doors, Ruby Hall Clinic is a life saver in its truest sense. Bomi Bhote, the awe-inspiring leader and mentor serves the frontline of this medical fortress as the Chief Executive Officer.

Located in the heart of the city of Pune, Ruby Hall Clinicoffers hope and healing to one and all. It has blossomed from a two bedded nursing home in the mid-fifties to a750-bedded multi-specialty medical centre including a 130-bedded unit at Wanowarie and an 80-bedded unit at Hinjawadi. Geographically encompassing most of Maharashtra, the hospital’s 24 peripheral centres make healthcare accessible to even the remotest corners of the state.

Adopting the most advanced and cutting-edge technology available in the field of medicine, the hospital treats more than 30,000 inpatients and over 1.2 lac outpatients every single year. Stretching it’s services from cardiac surgery and cancer treatment to even transplant units for kidney, liver, bone marrow and heart; from advanced neurosurgery to hip and joint replacements; from urology to bariatrics and IVF to even high-tech imaging and diagnostics; the hospital covers all specialised services one can imagine – right from the top of the head to the tip of the toes.

Love, care and empathy are the pillars on which the hospital’s legacy is built.” says Mr. Bomi Bhote. He adds, “At Ruby Hall Clinic, we believe that every single patient who walks through our doors has a right to access the unparalleled healthcare. Be it a daily wage labourer, the director of a multinational conglomerate or even patients across the borders, all are equal in our eyes. Each and every patient is cared for like family. Our goal is to touch more lives, relieve suffering and provide every patient the best care and experience,

At the hospital, people are taken care of like family members, and are elated with the warmth and love they receive. The purpose is to touch more lives, relieve suffering and provide patients with the best care and a world class health experience.

Binding patients together with a cord of trust and care is something the hospital takes seriously. Mr. Bhote states, “Trust is something that is built over time — a hallmark of our long-standing legacy and the cornerstone of a doctor-patient relationship.

Over the last five decades, the medical institute has kindled a flame of hope and contributed greatly to health and well-being. With the help of community initiatives, a team of experienced and world-class doctors, state-of-the-art technology and transparent processes, whilst maintaining its ‘patient comes first’ policy.

Synchronising With Changing Market Trends

Keeping abreast with the changing face of technology, the hospital continues to invest in the latest equipment to improve patient’s care. Mr. Bhote adds, It’s amazing to look back and see how far our world has come in terms of technology. If people from a hundred years back suddenly find themselves in today’s world, they would think that they have been teleported into another dimension. The same can be said about technology in healthcare.”

With changing times, the hospital has adapted to this very advancement and transformed challenges into pinnacles of success. The award winning RHC mobile application was amongst the first and foremost in the city to keep doctors abreast with matters related to the health of their patients.

In the preceding year, the hospital became the only tertiary care medical centre in Pune to procure the da Vinci Robot. With the wave of telemedicine, Ruby Hall Clinic set-up virtual clinics across India, pioneering the change, it brought along with it. Further strengthening its’ commitment to provide the highest standards in patient care along with world class equipment, the hospital procured the new 128 slide CT scanner and the Einstein Vision 2.0 and the True Beam Linear Accelerator. Another feather in the cap was when the hospital became the first in the city of Pune to have been accredited with the cGreen OT certification keeping its promise of environment sustainability.

Research is the most essential part of medicine. It provides a hospital with new and advanced knowledge of how to treat and care for patients with varied health conditions. We have a long tradition of letting our doctors explore new avenues of research with a very bottom-up approach, where they’re given the means and infrastructure to be entrepreneurial and collaborative. Ultimately, our goal is to build a solid base of evidence on which we build stronger medical practices. This in turn has the potential to develop ground breaking treatments, technologies and techniques while transforming healthcare as we know it,”says Mr. Bhote.

The field of medicine is rapidly growing with each passing year. New technologies and innovations are being introduced within the industry, creating awe-inspiring scenarios in healthcare. “As a medical organisation, we are excited by the synergies between AI and telehealth. Telehealth, in fact, has already created a stir by increasing accessibility to healthcare services. AI, on the other hand, will be soon be used to improve radiology diagnostics, operational efficiency and so much more. As we map out new healthcare territories, we must make sure each route leads back to patients. With patients at the top of mind, I look forward to harnessing the promise of tech-driven discoveries and facing their attendant challenges, as we settle into this fascinating and very hopeful era in healthcare,” he adds.

During Mr. Bhote’s tenure, Ruby Hall Clinic has been conferred with a shield from the then Honourable President Late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam for setting up a state-of-the-art cancer centre. Former President Pratibha Patil also awarded the hospital as the best medical tourism facility in India. At a ceremony organised by NOTTO, Health Minister J.P. Nadda also presented the hospital with an award for being the ‘Best Organ Transplant Centre’ in the country. In fact, a multitude of other initiatives have led to a number of ‘firsts’. Ruby Hall Clinic is the only hospital in India to have nine separate NABH and NABL accreditations from Quality Council of India under its belt.

With immense pride, Mr. Bhote concludes, Each milestone encourages us to stretch our limits further, each success motivates us to spread more joy, hope and good health.
