He rose through the ranks at Google, becoming the senior vice president of Chrome and Apps in 2012, the head of Android and Chrome in 2013, and the product chief of Google in 2014.
In 2015, Sundar Pichai was appointed as the CEO of Google, succeeding Larry Page, who became the CEO of Alphabet, the parent company of Google and other subsidiaries. In 2019, Sundar Pichai also became the CEO of Alphabet, after Page and Sergey Brin stepped down from their roles.
