It is the largest national park with an area of 1,334 km2 the park is famous for its tigers including around 30 mammals, 12 reptiles and 300 species of exotic migratory and domestic birds.

2) HEMIS National Park

HemisNational park is situated in the eastern part of Ladakh district in Jammu and Kashmir it is the high-altitude national park established in 1981 and is the largest national park in the country with an area of 3,350 square kilometres and is famous for its snow leopard including around 17 mammals and 70 bird species.

3) JIM CORBETTNational Park

This national park is situated in northern India’s of Nainital district, Ramnagar, Uttarakhand and is established in 1936 in an area of 521 square kilometres it is India’s oldest national park and is famous for its royal Bengal tigers, animals including leopards, wild elephants with 400 species of flora and 550 different species of fauna.

CENTRAL REGION

4) KANHA National Park

It is situated in Madla/Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh and is declared as National Park in 1955. It is the largest national park in Madhya Pradesh with an area of 940 sq.  It is famous for conserving tigers and is the host of major animal’s swamp deer and Barasingha.

5) BANDHAVGARH National Park

It is situated in Vindhya hills of Umariadistrict of Madhya Pradesh and is famous for the Royal Bengal tigersits tiger population is highest in India it is established in 1968 with an area of 1,536 km sq.

6) PENCH National Park

It is established in 1992 and is situated in Mandia district of Madhya Pradesh with an area of 257,26 km sq. It is famous for the legendary Tigris collarwaliand is also home for 39 species of mammals, 13 species of reptiles and 3 species of amphibians, nilgai,wild boar, jackal, chital.

7) SATPURA National Park

It is situated in Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh. It covers an area of 524 km sq. It is famous because it is rich in biodiversity animals include here are leopard, sambar, chital, flying squirrel, bear, black buck, and many more

WESTERN REGION:

8) SASAN – GIR Wildlife Sanctuary

It is declared as wildlife sanctuary on 18th September, 1965 and is situated in Junagadh, Gir Somnath and Amrelidistricts, Gujarat, Western India is famous for lions all over the world.

  • Duration – 3 hours
9) TADOBA National Park

It is situated in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra with an area of 625.4 square kilometresand is created in 1955 it is Maharashtra’ s oldest and largest national park it is famous for its tiger reserve and is known for its teak and crocodile bark which are tree species.

  • Duration – 2 hours

EASTERN REGION:

10) KAZIRANGA National Park

It is situated in Golaghatdistrict, northeast state of Assam with an area of 430 kilometres square and is famous for the great Indian one-horned rhinoceros, tall elephant grass, rugged reeds it is declared as National park in 1974.
