Volkswagen Passenger Cars India has introduced the Virtus GT DSG, a new variant of the Performance Line, priced at INR 16.19 lakh (ex-showroom). This new variant is the most affordable GT badge variant in the Virtus lineup. Interested customers can purchase the new Virtus GT DSG from authorized Volkswagen dealerships nationwide.

The Virtus, built on Volkswagen’s MQB A0 IN platform, is available in a total of eight variants in India. These variants are divided into the Dynamic Line (1.0l TSI engine) and Performance Line (1.5l EVO TSI engine).

Under the hood, the Virtus GT DSG is equipped with a 1.5l EVO TSI engine that generates a maximum power of 148 hp@ 5,000 to 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 250 Nm @ 1,600 to 3,500 rpm. This engine is paired with a seven-speed DSG transmission. Volkswagen claims that the Virtus GT DSG delivers an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 19.62 kmpl.

Safety is a priority in the Virtus GT DSG, which comes with over 40 active and passive safety features. These features include six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Auto Hill Hold, traction control, and more. Notably, the sedan has received a 5-star GNCAP rating for adult and child occupant protection in the latest Global NCAP crash tests.

Inside the cabin, the Virtus GT DSG boasts a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, an 8-speaker sound system, wireless mobile charging, and the My Volkswagen Connect Plus app. The interior also features GT-themed upholstery and red ambient lighting.

In terms of exterior design, the Virtus GT DSG variant sports GT badging on the front grille, fender, and rear. Additionally, it showcases red-painted front brake calipers and a glossy black-painted rear spoiler.

The Virtus GT DSG offers a range of seven color options, including Wild Cherry Red, Curcuma Yellow, Carbon Steel Grey, Rising Blue, Candy White, Lava Blue, and Reflex Silver.

As part of the Virtus GT DSG package, Volkswagen provides a 4EVER Care package. This package includes a 4-year warranty, 4-year Road-Side Assistance (RSA), and three labor-free services.
