Bajaj Auto is soon to launch the world’s first CNG-powered motorcycle on June 18th this year. It is going to be Bajaj’s first CNG bike and will also be India’s first mass-produced CNG bike.
The idea of a CNG bike Bajaj is introduced to position the motorcycle as a new commuter motorcycle in the 100–125 cc segment, with low running costs and better efficiency as compared to a regular petrol commuter motorcycle.

The design of the Bajaj CNG Bike will be the same as the standard commuter motorcycle, with all modern elements like telescopic forks and halogen turn indicators. Some of the key features include multi-spoke alloy wheels, a mono-shock unit, and a disc and drum braking system for better safety and performance.
The Bajaj CNG Bike will have multiple fuel options, but the mainstay will be the mid-mounted CNG tang, which will be kept under a small petrol tank. It will run mostly on green fuel. However, fossil fuel can be used for ignition and last-mile connectivity.
