Emirates Logistics India Pvt. Ltd. is a world-class service provider for Freight-Forwarding, Customs Clearance, Supply chain solutions, warehousing & distribution. The company is one of the only logistics company in India having its own Packaging & Designing plant in Chakan, Pune which provides customised & onsite packaging solutions to engineering, automotive & large manufacturing companies.
THE START
Emirates Logistics India Pvt. Ltd. is part of the reputed Sharaf Group, one of the largest conglomerate group of companies based in UAE. It has diverse business interests and operates in more than 60 countries spread across the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
It was in 1975 that Sharaf Group was incepted as a shipping agency with a vision of becoming a leading international organization. Gradually, as the business grew, the Group also began developing strong business relationships due to the trustworthy services and cofidence provided. The Group continued with its ambitions and slowly, developed a global footprint, as a result of which the stakeholders received maximum value.
THE TEAM
In 2011, Emirates started its journey as a small freight forwarding company with only 21 employees and 5 branches. Today, it has grown to become a multi-division company with more than 250 employees rendering services across India through its network of 16 branches, 14 warehouses and 1 plant.

Heading the Finance team, Ajaykumar coming from a Big 4 background having almost 15 years of experience, ensures capturing minutest of details while ensuring execution of business strategies envisioned by the country heads. This ensures that the company always remains financialy healthy.
Being with Emirates Logistics India for 10 years, Manu taking care of business and agency development, has created a good name for himself by his efforts.
Heading the Business Development Team, C R Murali carries over 20 years of experience in the supply chain, procurement, procure to pay, and contract logistics sales and operation.

IN FUTURE
According to Anant, freight booking, custom broking, warehousing, supply chain management and contract logistics are what they are into now. These cover almost all the verticals of the shipping and logistics ecosystem. The focus would be shifting towards an integrated logistics approach in the coming days.
People would soon see one-window solutions to major food processing and agricultural commodity players since agri logistics is one of the main focuses.
Even after having 16 ofices pan India, 14 warehouse facilities & group-owned infrastruture across major ports and ICDs of India, the company is still looking to expand its reach and open to new facility development upon prospect leads from big corporates and manufacturers.

What Anant conveys to the aspiring entrepreneurs and the readers is, “Do all the work with great passion and labor, and put more than cent per cent of year efforts. Do not worry or bother about the results, if the efforts are genuine, positive, and up to the mark, success will definitely follow.”
Further, he advises, “Be true to yourself as well as everyone else. If something is not possible, acknowledging and communicating the same is better than denial of the truth and not delivering. This is not only going to save efforts, time and money for both the sides but also will help in gaining trust and confidence.”
Amit is a firm believer of continuously motivating employees. He is also called on as speaker in various forums. His out-of-the-box thinking and presentation ideas are always a delight to the eye. He regularly imparts tips & snippets which keep his team moving.
