A little glimpse of what NDWBF is.

NDWBF (New Delhi World Book Fair) is organised annually during winters (from 2013, earlier held biennially), at the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi by the NBT (National Book Trust) along with ITPO (India Trade Promotion Organisation). This book fair is among the biggest book fairs in India and the main purpose behind it is to bring together readers and authors, it also aims to inculcate reading and writing habits among youth.

NDWBF 2024

This year it was inaugurated on February 10, 2024 with the theme of “Multilingual India” (Bahubhashi Bharat) – A Living Tradition. Over 2000 publishers and independent booksellers are exhibiting in the book fair. Among the invitees Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been invited as the Guest of Honour in the New Delhi World Book Fair 2024.

World Book Fair 2024 was inaugurated on February 10, 2024 and will remain open till February 18, 2024.

# Where is the New Delhi World Book Fair 2024 happening?

The World Book Fair is being held at Pragati Maidan’s newly built halls 1 to 5. Full address Pragati Maidan, Mathura Road, New Delhi- 110001.

# Timings of World Book Fair 2024?

The Book Fair timings will be from 11:00 A.M to 8:00 P.M .

# How and where to book tickets for the World Book Fair 2024?

Tickets for the book fair can be bought in both online and offline mode.

Price of Adult ticket is Rs.20 per head and for children it’s Rs.10  each. Entry to the book fair is free for disabled people, school students on educational trips, and senior citizens.

Online Tickets: can be booked from NBT (National Book Trust) official website https://www.nbtindia.gov.in/.

Offline Tickets: are also available at the venue and can be bought from the entry gates.

# How to reach the Book Fair 2024?

The nearest metro station to reach Pragati Maidan is via Supreme Court Metro Station in the Blue Line. From there one can take a bus or an autorickshaw to reach the venue.

# What is the centre of attraction at the Book Fair 2024?

The key events that visitors will get to attend in The NDWBF 2024 includes book launches, meet-up with authors, cultural programmes, a themed pavilion, a children’s pavilion, free braille books to visually impaired, a dark room where children can write to their favourite writer and can get to win a free book by them. Furthermore, it also has workshops, attractions like CEO Speaks and New Delhi Rights Table that will create a platform for writers and publishers to network and strengthen their connections.
