The Speed Breakers
When Radware commenced its operations in India, market was focused on technologies around Layer 3, whilst Radware was addressing advanced technologies around layer 4 to 7. Those days it was difficult to convince the customers and expose them to these advanced technologies. The challenge was to first educate the customers about the benefits by acting as teachers, and explain the science behind the technology.
From the marketing and channel perspective, getting the attention of T1 partners those days was cumbersome. But, they were successful in convincing the channel by virtue of volume of business and were able to close some big deals as the credibility was established over a period of time.
“Struggles and failures are the parts of the journey, and the ability to look at failures as part of the learning process is the best way to move forward. Stepping away and looking at failure through clear eyes, and identifying the reason for the failure gives you the ability to learn from it.” ~ Nikhil Karan Taneja
Every time when Nikhil faced with challenges, he made a conscious effort to get to the root cause, identify short and long term solutions and ensured that it is not be repeated.
