The Classic Entertainment Season will air every Saturday night on BBC Four and iPlayer during the BBC’s Olympics coverage.
A season of Saturday night entertainment programming, such as an emotional mix of timeless hits from the last fifty years has been announced by the BBC.
During the BBC’s summer Olympic development, this Classic Entertainment Season will run on BBC Four and iPlayer over three Saturday evenings.
Episodes from “The Generation Game,” “Blankety Blank,” “Noel’s House Party,” “Bob’s Full House,” and the inaugural episode of “Strictly Come Dancing,” which is commemorating its 20th anniversary this year, will be included in the collection to honor the BBC’s ongoing TV legacy. a host of beloved BBC entertainment giants, such as Sir Bruce Forsyth and Sir Michael Parkinson, will be included in the action-packed three-night season.
“We are thrilled to take our viewers on a nostalgic journey through five decades of beloved BBC entertainment,” says Lindsay Currie, Head of Channel Management. BBC Four will provide an array of beloved presenters presenting a wealth of historic programming, while BBC One will concentrate on the Olympics.

BBC Four compiles sets of the most notable programming from the BBC’s extensive library. It is the home of shows that focus on both British and international culture while delving deeply into the intricacies with intellectual ambition and creative concepts. the channel offers viewers a wide selection of performances, profiles, and specialized documentaries, with a focus on the arts and music in particular.
