BMW India has launched the new BMW X1 sDrive18i M Sport in India, produced locally at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai. The luxury SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) can be booked online through BMW’s website or at authorized dealerships, with deliveries starting in June 2023.
The luxury carmaker is offering a standard warranty of 3 years / 40,000 kms and an extended warranty of up to 10 years / 2,00,000 kms for the all-new BMW X1 sDrive18i M Sport at a price starting at INR 1.31 per km.
The price of the car is INR 48.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
BMW X1 sDrive18i M Sport: Specifications
Under the hood, the BMW X1 sDrive 18i M Sport packs a 1,499 cc three-cylinder petrol engine that churns out 134 hp power and 230 Nm of maximum torque. The engine is paired with a seven-speed steptronic dual-clutch transmission that comes with paddle shifters. With this setup, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hr in 9.2 seconds.
BMW X1 sDrive18i M Sport: Colour options
You can get the all-new BMW X1 sDrive18i M Sport in Alpine White non-metallic paint, as well as Space Silver, Black Sapphire, Storm Bay, and M Portimao Blue metallic exterior colors. The interior upholstery options are Sensatec Perforated Oyster and Sensatec Perforated Mocha.

Equipped with adaptive LED headlights and a large square-shaped BMW kidney grille, the all-new BMW X1 features a sleeker front end with LED headlamps. The SAV also has square wheel arch contours and 3D LED taillights, along with a sleeker tailgate window. The front and rear bumper panels come with M-specific designs and glossy black inserts. Riding on 18-inch double-spoke alloy wheels, the new BMW X1 sDrive18i M Sport has an eye-catching look.
BMW X1 sDrive18i M Sport: Interior
The new BMW X1 sDrive18i M Sport variant comes equipped with several features, including a BMW Live Cockpit Plus with BMW Curved Display, Digital Key Plus for up to five users, and a parking assistant with reversing assistant. It also boasts a Harman Kardon Surround Sound Hi-Fi loudspeaker system, an M Leather steering wheel, and pedal covers in stainless steel.
The Active Seats for the driver and front passenger offer multiple massage programs, while the rear seats can be adjusted mechanically up to 130mm. Other features include ambient lighting, wireless charging, automatic dual-zone AC, and a large glass sunroof. The luggage compartment has a capacity of 540 litres and can be expanded to 1,600 litres with the optional 40:20:40 split backrests.
BMW X1 sDrive18i M Sport: Safety Features
To ensure safety on the road, the BMW X1 M Sport comes equipped with numerous features, including e Active Park Distance Control with sensors at the front and rear, a rearview camera with Panorama rear view, Parking Assistant, Reversing Assistant, and Attentiveness Assistant. Additionally, it has advanced Driver Assistance Systems such as Lane Departure Warning with Steering Intervention, Dynamic Cruise Control with Braking Function, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Pedestrian/Cyclist Protection.
The car also boasts standard safety features like six airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), an electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, an electronic vehicle immobilizer, and crash sensors, among others.
