Dr. Mariam Shaikh, the awe-inspiring founder of MS Education Consultants, one of the preeminent Education Services Consulting firms, is an eminent professional in the education field based in the UAE.
THE IDEA OF JOINING THE INDUSTRY AND TAKING THE PLUNGE
Dr. Mariam has been a lifelong supporter of education and has learned as well along the way. She began her career in education in the early 1980s by running a nursery school inspired by her children. Later, she rose to the position of Principal at a renowned school, where she substantially contributed to the institution’s growth. She then started working in higher education to support students in reaching their academic and career objectives.
Her second milestone achievement strongly supported by the Canadian Consulate and Embassy was the very
first set-up of a Canadian University Branch Office in Dubai. She sent hundreds of students to the University thus establishing the University of New Brunswick as a preferred study destination for students from the UAE & GCC.
Following that, she played a key role in establishing some of the most reputed foreign University branch campuses in UAE such as the University of New Brunswick in Dubai Knowledge Village, which was a pioneering effort to encourage foreign Universities to set up their campuses in Dubai.
In 2020, Dr. Mariam founded MS Education Consultants to assist students, educational institutions, and innovative learning programmes in meeting the needs of the quick paced world.

Dr. Mariam is a firm believer in providing students with the opportunity to travel abroad and in promoting the fusion of various cultures to contribute to creating a tolerant and peaceful global society, which will, in turn, be progressive and result in a promising future for future generations. In order to improve student achievement and support educational institutions with additional opportunities, she conceptualized, strategized, and then finally set up and launched her Company – MS Education Consultants thereby laying the foundation for the future.

Dr. Mariam collaborates closely with UNHCR to offer student grants to refugees. She believes that children must attend school no matter where they live. Despite the significant obstacles they experience, education can support the success of refugee children and youth. “It is the obligation of every person born in a safer room to open the door when someone in danger knocks. We strive to ensure that everyone has the right to seek asylum and find safe refuge in another State, with the option to eventually return home, integrate or resettle.”
