THE NEW DISRUPTOR OF THE “READY TO EAT SNACK” INDUSTRY

They say, “Quality in a service or product is not what you put into it. It is what the client or customer gets out of it.” Whatever we intake, it’s more than important to keep an eye on its ingredients, origin, and overall production process, especially in this age where getting quality products is complex due to competition and other market factors. And to tackle this issue in the packed food industry, Godavari Nutrifoods Pvt. Ltd. conceptualized Frunchy’s in the year 2014, intending to better the situation.

The editorial board of the Business Connect magazine had an interesting virtual meeting with the leadership panel of Godavari Nutrifoods. In that fruitful conversation with us, the Managing Director of the company, Ishaan K. Gupta shared numerous lesser-known facts about the company and also shined some light on his entrepreneurial journey so far.

The high-end product range of the company and a promise-driven approach highly inspired us and made us feature them in our upcoming edition, ‘The Most Desirable Snacks Brand of 2022’. THE DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS
In the words of Edward De Bono, “Companies that solely focus on competition will ultimately die. And that is something that Frunchy’s has its prime focus on. Utilizing high-end technology and quality raw materials, the company produces ready-to-eat snacks with a blend of taste and quality.

Moreover, explaining to us the approach to tackle the competition, Ishan says, “If you talk about our competition in the market, we consider only two to three companies in terms of quality and pricing. These are the companies we compete with in terms of quality because they have a standard quality and follow ethics. If we see other unstructured companies, nobody’s following the standard norms as for FSSAI, nobody is following ethical practices.

There are a few companies in the market that are following ethics. So, how we stand up in the market is because we are providing quality and better taste than others. And in terms of pricing to the ruler manufacturers, we are below them. So we are giving more margins, we are giving more money to rural India than other bigger companies in the market.”

THE PRODUCT STORY
At present, Frunchy’s has its roots well spread across the metro cities of the country, including Gwalior, Indore, and Gurugram. The team Frunchy’s gives all credit for the success to the Founder Chairman, Mr. Subhash Gupta, who is a visionary, dynamic leader, and a successful entrepreneur. The other leading executives of the company, Ishaan K. Gupta and Ramit K. Gupta, have an excellent experience in Hotel Management and food
processing ventures along with worldwide recognition in the same.

Ramit affirms, “With innovation as the cornerstone, food quality and taste are the founding principles of our organization. The range of products has already been introduced in selected territories of India in convenient consumer packs under its brand, FRUNCHY’s.” Every single packet of Frunchy’s snacks is made hygienically by utilizing sophisticated, latest equipment corresponding to machine-driven method lines and vacuum packaging.

“The resulting packed range of products are of the highest quality and more than adequately comply with the food safety standards laid by FSSAI and other concerned authorities under a quality certification and endorsement done by a leading company in India. The objective is to meet and serve the needs of growing demand of domestic as well as international consumers,” – says Ishaan.

Moreover, the high-end products of GNPL have earned the love of consumers in almost every corner of India, be it Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Odisha, Kolkata, Maharashtra, and Haryana.

PARTING WORDS
Before signing off, the visionary shared some words for the budding leaders out there as well as for other
players in the industry. Ishaan K. Gupta says,

“Success has no shortcut, hard work is the only way to achieve success. Keep calm, have faith in whichever power you believe in, and keep working hard. One day you will achieve the objective.” For industry acquaintances, he asserts, “I think all the structured and organized companies should, instead of fighting with each other, join together, help each other and create this industry 10 times bigger than the current situation. Because if we keep fighting with each other, there will be no benefit to anyone.”
