With its unique approach, this business idea is helping the environment in two ways, first, it prevents about 7600 kgs of waste and 97 kgs of toxic chemicals from getting into the Ganga River, and second, it brings organic fertilizer options for farmers. The materials used by the company in making products include pinatas, recycled trimmings and fastenings, and cork, sourced ethically without causing any harm to the environment. Beco: Biodegradable Single-use Products

Beco was founded in 2018 as a consumer goods company based out of Mumbai. It manufacturers biodegradable and sustainable options to single use-products like toilet rolls, facial tissue rolls, dinner napkins, and more. Established by Aditya Ruia, Anuj Ruia, and Akshay Verma brings products for the kitchen, home care, and personal care and is counted among the best eco-friendly startups in India. The venture uses biodegradable raw materials such as bamboo and corn starch to prepare various kinds of SKU of tissue, toothpicks, straws, cotton, and etch and also makes sure to pack its products in recycled and craft paper to eradicate the need for plastic.

Founded by Rony Chowdhury and Vidhi Singhal in 2017, The August Company is another renowned name on the list of eco-friendly startups in India. The Bengaluru-based sustainable fashion startup makes environment-friendly products and accessories like scrunchies, potli, bags, and headbands by using cutting scraps. They source the fabrics from craft clusters, cooperatives, and those who collaborate with these weavers throughout the year in return for monetary benefits. Working on the three pillars of sustainability including environmental, economic, and social, the company utilized wastepaper for packaging
