Most Expensive Things on This Planet

Most Expensive Things on This Planet

There are many things on the planet which are quite expensive. However, the most expensive items on the planet are far more costly than any of them. Because these things are exclusive and rare, only a few extremely wealthy individuals can afford them.

Here is a list of the 08 most expensive items on this planet

01. History Supreme ($4.5 Billion):

The History Supreme, a massive 100-foot yacht that costs an astounding $4.5 billion is undoubtedly the priciest yacht ever built. For comparison, Lesotho’s GDP is more than that of $4.5 billion, costing about $700 million more than the Freedom Tower in New York City.

Over 100,000 kilograms of platinum, gold, and precious stones are embedded throughout the yacht. According to reports, Robert Kuok, the billionaire businessman from Malaysia who owns Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, is the owner of this extravagantly expensive yacht. There are a ton of other ostentatious decorations throughout the boat’s interior, which reportedly includes a real T. rex skeleton.

02. Masjid al-Haram ($100 Billion):

Masjid al-Haram, the Great Mosque of Mecca, is arguably the most important religious structure in the world, and it is also likely the most expensive structure ever constructed. The Holy Kaaba, the most sacred structure in Islam, is at the system’s center. Millions of pilgrims travel to the Holy Kaaba from all over the world. Worshipers can be seen praying while moving anticlockwise around the Holy Kaaba.

The Great Mosque occupies a 356,000 square meter area. In addition to housing the Holy Kaaba, Masjid al-Haram is also the location of important religious sites like the Station of Abraham, the Black Stone, and the Zamzam Well. According to estimates, the entire structure is more than $100 billion, making it the most expensive system in the world.

03. Salvator Mundi ($450 Million):

The most expensive painting in the world was created by Leonardo da Vinci, who is  one of the most well-known artists in history. Furthermore, Salvator Mundi’s backstory is insane. Surprisingly, nobody is sure of the painting’s current location. While most people agree that it is hidden in the Middle East, there have been rumors that it may also be on bin Salam’s yacht or in Geneva’s tax-free area. Apart from this, many art experts have questioned whether this painting from the 2017 Christie’s auction was a genuine da Vinci. The answer is yet to be found.

04. Antilia, Mumbai – USD 1-2 billion

While it may be challenging to classify Buckingham Palace as a home, Mukesh Ambani, the wealthiest man in Asia, owns Antilia, which is unquestionably a private residence. The house has 27 stories and double-height ceilings and is situated in Mumbai’s most prestigious neighbourhood. To make artificial snowflakes when the temperature in Mumbai gets a little too high, there is even a room.

The name Antilia refers to a fictitious island in the Atlantic Ocean, and its appearance is unmistakably that of mythical decadence. There are numerous natural world examples, including trees and shrubs, a spa, a sizable indoor temple, an ice cream parlor, and a private movie theater. Additionally, there are six entire floors devoted to parking spaces for Ambani’s wealthy friends when he invites them for a business or social gathering.

05. 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO ($70 Million):

We all know that wealthy people spend a lot on expensive cars. David MacNeil, the founder and CEO of WeatherTech, took it a step further when he paid $70 million for a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO with chassis number 4153. By paying this record-breaking auction price, MacNeil became a member of a GTO owners’ “secret society.” The wealthiest and most fascinating people, such as Ralph Lauren, Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason, and billionaire Lord Anthony Bamford, are part of an owners-only 250 GTO Tour (the only person ever to own two 250 GTOs).

06. Buckingham Palace ($6.7 Billion):

It is no surprise that one of the most infamously wealthy families in the world resides in the most expensive house. Buckingham Palace, home to the British royal family, is valued at an astounding $6.7 billion, but it is unlikely to be sold anytime soon. There are 775 rooms in total, a pool, and an operating room in the palace in case of a medical emergency. The majority of the house’s rooms are accessible via guided tours.

There are 240 bedrooms, 19 staterooms, 92 offices, 78 bathrooms, and rumored to be numerous secret rooms scattered throughout the mansion’s halls in Buckingham Palace. Buckingham Palace is maintained by a large staff of about 400 people.

07. Graff Diamonds Hallucination watch: $55 million:

Laurence Graff, the Chairman of Graff Diamonds, is the inventor of the most expensive jewellery watch ever made. The Graff Hallucination was first unveiled at Baselworld in 2014 and is adorned with 110 carats of the rarest coloured diamonds in the world (Fancy Intense Pink, Fancy Light Grey Blue, Fancy Orange, and Fancy Green).

08. Hope Diamond ($450 Million):

The Hope Diamond, a 45.52-carat blue diamond valued at about $450 million, is the most expensive and most well-known item of jewelry ever made. Impurities from boron atoms are thought to cause the blue coloration. It is thought that a mine in southern India is where the Hope Diamond originated. It was subsequently in the ownership of King Louis XIV of France until the royal family’s theft in 1792. It reappeared in the collection of a well-known London banking family in 1839.
