Everyone is beautiful, and that’s exactly what Anshita Mehrotra, the Founder, and CEO of Fix My Curls, is trying to convey to everyone around the world. Business Connect has been a renowned platform for introducing some outperforming ventures and their leaders across the business globe.
Here again, we are back with an exclusive edition of the month comprising some great success stories. In that context, our editorial team had an interesting and joyful session with the leadership panel of Fix My Curls. And the Founder shared numerous lesser-known facts about the company and also shed some light on her overall entrepreneurial journey so far. THE JOURNEY PREFACE
Giving a brief of the journey, Anshita quips, “Our brand is dedicated primarily for curly and wavy hair. At that time, when I stepped into the market to get some good products, I didn’t find even a single brand that was focusing on the issues of curly hair girls. And that was the moment the idea for this venture hit my mind. At the time, I think the most important step was for me to just embrace my natural hair and then help other people do the same.
I’ve never thought of myself as an entrepreneur or a founder or anything, I just thought about how the consumer would think of themselves because I myself have curly hair so I know the problems and I also know the solutions that can be provided but aren’t being provided. So I think that was kind of what the thought process I came in with and who I see myself as.”Fix My Curls is a curly and wavy hair care brand so we focus on curly and wavy hair and any hair that has texture to it.
So if your hair is not straight and silky then you can buy our products. We are a very deeply focused online e-commerce brand that keeps its community presence at the forefront. We, apart from being online, are also present in eleven countries in total outside of India. We also have a global presence. Our main focus is selling curly and wavy haircare to those in our own country. That is basically what the brand does.”
INSIGHTS ON WOMEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Women are an inseparable part of the present business world, and the pace at which they are surpassing others in their respective niches is remarkable. Expressing her valuable perception on the same, the Founder asserts, “I think that women should have been in the entrepreneur space from the very beginning.
At present, there are so many female founders adding a lot of difference in the entrepreneurial space and not just in beauty but we are in tech, web, and everything you can think of. I think women entrepreneurs are extremely compassionate and empathetic as well as hard-working. Of course, we should have been here a long time ago, but thankfully it started at some point.”
The PARTING WORDS
Before signing off, the leader shared some words of wisdom for the budding leaders out there by quoting, “If you really want to start, just start it. It doesn’t matter what you have. Even if you have some little support, you have some experience in marketing or you have experience in the product you want to create, you can start. You will learn as the days pass and as the business grows as you’re not supposed to know everything and you’re not supposed to have everything in the beginning itself.”
