Ms. Musrefa Hossain, the daughter of the esteemed industrialist and philanthropist Mr. Mushtaq Hossain, was born in Kolkata. Her educational journey began at La Martiniere for Girls, Kolkata, where she completed her schooling. She then embarked on a path of academic excellence by enrolling at the University of Sheffield in Sheffield, UK, specializing in Biomaterial Science and Tissue Engineering. In December 2007, she proudly achieved a First Class Bachelor of Engineering degree, securing the top position in her department.

Ms. Hossain’s pursuit of knowledge led her to the prestigious University of Cambridge in 2008, where she pursued a Master’s degree in Bioscience Enterprise (MBE), a distinguished program jointly offered by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of Cambridge. During her time at Cambridge, she distinguished herself as a Cambridge Commonwealth scholar.

After completing her education, she dedicated several years to exploring healthcare systems in Europe and the USA. In September 2010, she assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at GD Hospital and Diabetes Institute in Kolkata, joining the institution in its third year of operation.
