Pushpendra Bansal, the COO of Lords Hotels & Resorts, is a hospitality stalwart, a civil engineer by profession, who expanded his family business into construction, executing projects for L&T, ONGC, ESSAR, the Food Corporation of India, Indian Railways, and many more. Later, in 2003, he relocated to the USA, where he acquired hotels, motels, and resorts from reputable companies like Howard Johnson and Comfort Inn, among others. He entered India’s mid-segment hotel industry out of an ambition to give back to his country.

In the year 1990, his actual journey began when Pushpendra Bansal accidentally became the owner of an under-construction hotel in Surat. This was not the best period for the hospitality industry, as the country was going through turmoil. Surat, in particular, faced floods and plague. The business had come to a standstill. Despite this difficult circumstance, Mr Bansal formed the hotel in 1998 and partnered with Carlson to manage it. He moved back to the United States in 2001, where he owned and ran hotels such as Harvard Johnson, Best Western, and the Holiday Inn. He gained a lot of knowledge about hotel administration and operations.

Completed hotel management training at Cendant, currently known as Wyndham. He began to consider returning to India and serving his fellow citizens there after his stint in the United States. In 2007, Lords Hotels and Resorts was formed with two owned hotels and other hotels in the construction stage.
