Netflix allows users to watch series, movies that have been partially downloaded
Long hours of continuous web series watching with good internet access is challenging, which may be the only reason why users consider downloading movies or web series from unauthorized websites; however, Netflix has solved this problem. Netflix has unveiled a new function that will allow customers to watch content that has only been partially downloaded.
The functionality was primarily announced for Android users. Netflix allows customers to download movies and web series on their phones and tablets, allowing them to watch them even when they don’t have access to the internet. This functionality proved to be incredibly beneficial for frequent travelers or those who travel a lot and frequently experience internet connectivity difficulties.
Netflix presently only enables users to watch something once it has entirely downloaded to their device. For example, if you have a flight to catch and have only downloaded half of the content, you will be able to watch it offline after the download is complete. Netflix, on the other hand, aims to make things simple for its users.
Netflix subscribers, on the other hand, may now view material even if it hasn’t finished downloading, according to the company’s latest announcements. When you regain internet connectivity, the download will resume, but users will still be able to watch it.
For the time being, partial downloading will only be available on Android mobile and tablet devices, but Netflix has stated that it will “be testing on iOS in the coming months.”
Furthermore, the company announced that the Downloads for You function, which auto-downloads recommended titles based on viewing history and was first introduced to Android users in February, will be tested on iOS “soon.” Smart Downloads, which premiered in 2019 automatically downloads the next episode of a series a user is watching, is available in iOS users’ settings.
On Android, the setting may be found under the service’s Continue Watching section or the Download menu.
