The latest Xiaomi smart phone boasting of 48MP rear camera was launched in India this Monday, 20th of May. The Chinese smart phone company Xiaomi discontinued Redmi Note 7, in an unexpected move. The “Redmi Note 7 will be phased out”, the company stated. The specifications of the Redmi Note 7’s China and India variants are identical, apart from the differing dual rear camera setup.
Redmi Note 7S will go on sale starting 12 PM on May 23rd across Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home. It will be available in offline stores the next day onwards. Before its launch, a number of camera samples were shared by the company. The pictures included “detailed daylight shots”, a Portrait mode photograph with depth-of-field bokeh effects for the selfie camera, as well as “amazing low-light shots.” Flipkart has also been advertising the smart phone on its page since before the launch.
The Redmi Note 7S is quite similar to the Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro.
It will be available in two variants, 3GB RAM+32GB Storage and 4GB RAM+64GB Storage variants. The 3GB variant is priced at Rs 10,999. The 4GB model will cost Rs 12,999. The color variants of the phone include Sapphire Blue, Ruby Red, and Onyx Black.
The device features a 6.3-inch full HD+ display with water drop dot notch on the front. The phone is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 on both front and back sides. Redmi Note 7S is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor
It is expected to have great battery performance with its 4,000mAh battery. The battery is Type-C with Quick Charge 4.0 support.
Redmi Note 7S comes with several other interesting features like fingerprint sensor and AI Face Unlock, dual-SIM (hybrid slot), VoLTE, P2i splash-resistant coating, and IR blaster.
Redmi Note 7S runs on Android 9 Pie with customized MIUI 10 on top.
