Sourav Ganguly dismisses resignation rumors from BCCI; Plans to launch education App

Earlier, Ganguly’s tweet fueled speculations as several reports suggested that he is ready to join politics, while some said that he has resigned from the post of BCCI President. Ganguly has now clarified that he has not resigned from the post of BCCI President.

“I have not resigned: I am launching a new education app worldwide. There is no resignation, nothing,” Ganguly said.

Jay Shah (BCCI secretary), on the other hand, dismissed the reports, claiming that all rumours are false. “The reports circulating regarding Sourav Ganguly resigning as BCCI President are false. The BCCI secretary told ANI, “We have some exciting times in the form of media rights coming up and my colleagues and I are completely focused on the upcoming opportunity and safeguarding the interest of Indian cricket.”
